ULB สถาบันอายุเกือบ 200 ปีคู่บรัสเซลล์

              Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) ตั้งอยู่ในเมืองบรัสเซลล์ ประเทศเบลเยี่ยม ประวัติของมหาวิทยาลัยมีความเป็นมายาวนานมากเทียบเท่ากับประวัติของประเทศเบลเยี่ยม โดยในอดีตปี 1830 เมื่อ 9 จังหวัดที่แยกตัวออกจากประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์เพื่อต้องการก่อตั้งเป็นประเทศเบลเยี่ยม และเมื่อแยกตัวออกมาแล้ว ยังไม่มีมหาวิทยาลัย  จึงได้ก่อตั้ง Université libre de Bruxelles  ขึ้นมา ในปี 1834 โดยในเริ่มแรกมีนักศึกษาเพียง 96 คน แต่ในปัจจุบันมีนักศึกษา 20,000 คน โดยประมาณเกือบ 3,000 คนเป็นชาวต่างชาติ รวมแล้วมากกว่า 100 ชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยประกอบด้วย 4 วิทยาเขตคือ Solbosch, Plaine, Erasme, Gosselies ปัจจุบันนับเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่ดีติดอันดับ 2 ของเบลเยี่ยม
